Hythe & Dibden Neighbourhood Development Plan

A neighbourhood plan for a substantial population (over 20,000) with unusual challenges, part of the area being within a National Park and part being under consideration for nationally significant infrastructure development (expansion of the Port of Southampton).

Notwithstanding these challenges, the Examiner’s report published in June 2019 was very positive and contained remarkably few recommended changes. The Plan received 85% support from the local community at referendum and was formally ‘made’ (adopted) by both LPAs in December 2019.
